Exactly... lol.. why not bring this concept in to our card making... now this isn’t necessarily a new idea... I know I’ve made a few of these on TV over the years and I’m pretty sure somewhere along the line I see this idea on Pinterest.. so I don’t think I can claim it as one of my own 🤔
But none the less.. I wanted to show you just how fun & easy these are to make!
You will need -
A Centimetre Scoreboard
Circle Dies - I used Set A and Set B
So to start.. we need 4 strips of card - 20cm x 4cm and we are going to score at one end at 2cm on all 4 pieces.
Now glue them together (2 Strips at a time) on the 2cm area to create this effect...
Now we have our struts ready we can add on any mats and layers you wish to before adding on the panels to join them together, for the panels I chose some circles..
Using my cutting mat as a guide to keep my struts perfectly parallel while I attached my circles.
Once you have the front panel in place, add one to the inside/back struts to hold them in place, if you use wet glue it will give you a little wiggle room to make sure your front and back circles align.
if you wish to you can use the cutting mat as a really good hide before adding on your second circle, or even add alittle mark with a pencil on the back struts before adding the circle.
Once added you will have a strong base to work on that can either stand as an A-Board or it can lay on it’s side as a traditional card style.
