Design Team - Jamie Rodgers Crafts Collection - Christmas Scene By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania Blog

Hello lovely Crafters.....

With Christmas fast approaching, I'm well into the festive card making swing lol, so today I'm bringing you one of my favourite cards to make....

Also ideal for batch making for those of us who are a little last minute :-)

Let's get started.....

Step 1

Using the above die set, take the plain segment dies cut out one segment in each of the following colours :-

▪️Meadow Grass Green

▪️Heritage Green

▪️Pebble Grey

▪️Green Mirror Card

Next, using a blending brush / tool, distress around the edges with Peeled Paint Distress Ink.

We now want to create a tree scene (see Picture 2 below 📸) so glue

Glue your triangles together before cutting off the botttoms so they are straight.

TOP TIP - A trimmer or guillotine is a great tool here for both speed and precision

Step 2

From the Festive Collection, take the above die set.

Cut out the reindeer and sleigh in Raven Black Elite Card, colouring in the elements

(as seen in Picture 1 📸) with Nova Metallic Marker Pens.

From the same Collection, take one of the Circle Sentiments and use the plain circle die to cut out a circle in Polar White Elite Card.

To make it look like the moons' face, I used the Fluffy Clouds Stencil over it and distressed the edges with Lost Shadow Distress Ink.

Next, using one of my one my favourite stencils - Snow Flurry - I added Diamond White Gemstones Glitter Paste over the moon and the tree tops.

Once done, set aside to dry.

📝 NOTE - This stencil is brilliant for not only Christmas projects, but all occasions throughout the year - for Wedding confetti, celebrations etc.

Step 3

Cut a piece of Night Sky Navy Elite Card....

I think this was a 6x6" card - honestly, I must make more notes before passing over to Jamie lol!!

Looking at Picture 2 📸 you need the piece of card to fit, however leave enough room for the sentiment.

Here again, take your Snow Flurry Stencil and Diamond White Gemstones Glitter Paste and add over your Night Sky Navy Card.

Now using the falling snow stencil and Diamond white glitter paste again stencil this piece of night sky Navy. Leave to dry

Step 4

Let’s assemble the card.....

First, adhere the Night Sky Navy, and then cut a few green strips using the Straight Lines Die.

Stick them on top of one another and set aside.

Now glue the trees along the bottom of the navy card, then the green strip along the bottom

(as seen in the main Picture 📸).

Now add the moon onto the card with foam pads, before attaching Santa and sleigh across the moon.

I created a layered sentiment using the Happy Christmas Die Set (above)

This was made up of the Night Sky Navy Card with "Snow Flurry" stencilled on.

I then used Polar White Card as the top layer with the words cut out of silver mirror card.

I love to make my cards that little more decorative... so I lined the card on one side with Night Sky Navy. For the other side, I added a Postage Square from the above set in navy and white

(as seen in Picture 2 📸)

And that is my card finished.......

I love to challenge myself in different ways to use the Kaleidoscope Die Set - now I'm setting you the challenge - if you are up for it :-)
