Hey Crafters......

Hope you’ve all had a great crafting week!

Today I’m showing you how to make this beautiful (and very easy) box card....

Sounds really posh doesn't it, but that's what I'm calling it!!

Step 1

Cut the the foundation pieces

First you need a piece of Polar White Elite card measuring 10 x 10 inches.

Score all the way around at 3 inches.

Plant pot your corners (as seen in Picture 1 📸) and make into a box. Stick together using Clear Drying Glue and then set aside.

Next - cut two pieces of card measuring 6" x 9," and again score at 3" along one side on each piece.

As you can see in Picture 1 📸 you stick these together to make the card base to surround the box.

Step 2

Using the Rose Petal Pink Card card cut out the following :-

▪️4 pieces -  measuring 6” x 6”

▪️2 pieces - measuring 6” x 3”

▪️1 piece - measuring 4” x 4”

▪️8 pieces - measuring 4” x 3”

You might need to trim off a tiny amount depending on how you’ve cut, scored and glued.

This is fine as we are not all the same :-)

You can now stick these all on (as seen in Picture 2 above 📸 )

📝 NOTE - At this point, stick a length of ribbon on each inside edge of the card base as seen.

You can either do this now, OR before you stick on this pink layer.

Step 3

Let's go with this process again......

Cut out the same amount of pieces (as in Step 2) - however this time we are using

Make them a little bit smaller, like you would when matting onto a card

📝 NOTE - I went about a 1/4” smaller.

Take the Kaleidoscope Butterfly stencil and use for the inside covers of the card base and inside box pieces (on one side of each). Use the Chameleon Green Quick Dry Ink Pad

(as seen in Picture 3 📸)

Then for the outer covers, use the Piggy Pink Quick Dry Ink Pad (as seen in Picture 4 📸)

and for the box outer pieces, using the same stencil, with Pink Sapphire Gemstones Glitter Texture Paste. Set these aside to dry.

Step 4

Stick on all the green panels (as seen above in Picture 4 📸)

Now cut out the frames for the front and back covers on Rose Petal Pink Card using the

Deckle Edge And Stitched Squares Die Set (as seen in Picture 5 📸)

Stick them on and then use the pieces that came from the centres of the frames, and stick those on the inside covers (also as shown in Picture 5 📸).

Now to frame the beautiful rose even more....

Take your square frame dies and cut three of the largest die.

📝 NOTE - Please just check your sizing here, as I forgot to make a note (Oops lol).

Now stick these all on top of each other to make a thicker frame, and adhere them onto your card front (as shown in Picture 6 📸)

Step 5

Stamp out your Rose.....

Take a piece of Bubblegum Pink and Heritage Green Elite Card and stamp the Rose from the Floral Wonder Collection onto each with the Black Panther Quick Dry Ink Pad.

Now, carefully fussy cut them out whole in the green, and just the flower of the pink

(as seen in Picture 7 📸). Stick the pink flower on top of the green using foam pads.

You can now stick the rose into the centre of the frame of the front cover .

Step 6

Now glue your box onto the inside of the bottom cover.

📝 NOTE - Try to get it in the centre - I used a ruler and plenty of glue, in order that I could keep nudging it whilst going around the edges so they are all the same.

To finish... I chose the "With Love" sentiment - stamping it out with Black Panther Ink onto the

Rose Petal Pink Card then fussy cut it before sticking in the corner.

Then that’s a wrap !!!

Now there are loads of versions of these box cards around....

Mine is quite strong having been made from three layers of card, so you can put a nice gift in it!!

Wendy and myself have made some others during our crafty days together, so we will add these onto Facebook hopefully today!

Wendy.. if you're reading this .... I’m hoping I’ll get some of your yummy shortbread in one for Christmas lol :-)

Hope you will have a go at making this - it's easy peasy!

Have a great crafty weekend!

Take care

Lynn x
