Happy Saturday :-)

Now, I have a love for anything that grows and especially flowers and foliage.... so this week

I’m bringing you a beautiful floral card!

Everything on this card, except the background sheet and the two mini Rippled Poinsettias are coloured with Mica Magic and they look so natural.

Even some of the foliage that was pre-coloured with a darker green, benefitted from the mica finish!!

So let’s look at how to make it....

Step 1

Cut out some flowers and foliage.....

I used the wonderful Spellbinders Single And Double Peony Die Set, along with

Jamie Rodgers' Rippled Poinsettia and Rose Blossoms.

I also cut out the little sprays and two of the Floral Branches from Creative Expressions Fairy Village Collection. The branches were cut out in Kraft card and the rest in white card.

Here I also cut out the Butterfly from the Rose Blossom set and coloured it blue.

Plus you need to cut out enough to make three of the Button Flower die set and the foliage pieces.

Then colour them all on both sides with mica magic pallet Fusion Shades .

Get creative and make up the flowers how you wish....

With the sprays, and some of the flower centres, I used Cosmic Shimmer 3D Pearl Accents to make berries and centres, or you could use pearls!

Step 2

Cut out the Enchanted Lattice Die and colour with the yellow Mica Magic.

Take a DL card blank and the green / blue sheet of card from Trimcraft's Patterned Card Sheets Kit and mat it onto the card blank (as seen 📸).

Now stick the Enchanted Lattice on as you can see, and take the brown floral branches and cut some off the bottom. Stick onto the lattice as shown.

Step 3

Build up the flowers....

I apologise for the lack of pictures here, only once you are in creative mode, you don’t stop lol.

Firstly, place the large Peony in the centre using hot glue, then stick the others around it (see 📸)

Now it’s just a matter of sticking the foliage and berries where you like....

You can trim bits off to make them shorter, and tuck bits in / under until you’re happy!

Step 4

With hot glue, adhere the butterfly onto the Peony and cut out a sentiment.

Colour it and then stick onto the card.

Now you can stick some Water Crystals or gems on to finish.

I love making arrangements like this and they look great on cards.

I usually like to match the inside of my card up with the same card as the front with an insert as it helps keep the card balanced.

Well I hope this has given you a few ideas to get creative. Flowers are so addictive to make, but give your cards a professional finish.

I'd love to see your ideas and takes on the makes you see so let me know how you get on .....

Take care and happy crafting

Lynn x
