Design Team ~ Jamie Rodgers Crafts Christmas Wishes Collection ~ Joy! By Lynn Lewis

Happy Saturday Crafters.....

This weeks' card is not totally my own design; inspired by one that has been around for a few years in different arrangements and colours.

However, I wanted to show you how to make it using Jamie Rodgers Crafts Poinsettia Foliage Stamp Set... and adding my own finishing touches on it!

Step 1

First using the Poinsettia stamp, make a couple of DIY masks and a black ink pad.

(See Shopping List below).

TOP TIP - I always make more than one just incase you want to stamp more together.

Step 2

▪️As seen in Picture 1 📸 - take a piece of Gold Mirror Card and size to 20½ cm x 9½ cm

Adhere onto a slim card blank before setting aside.

▪️Now cut a piece of Romantic Red Elite Card measuring 20cm x 9cm

Place it on your Stamping Platform or Stamp Block

▪️Take your anti static pad and rub it all over then secure it down to begin stamping .

TOP TIP - The Magic Anti-Static Pad prepares your surface for stamping and eliminates static that prevents embossing powders clinging to unwanted areas of your image, giving you a crisp result!

▪️To begin.... stamp the image of your Poinsettia in the bottom right hand corner as seen below 📸

📝 NOTE - I've placed mine slightly off the card, so stamp as you wish!

Use a VersaMark Ink Pad, add gold embossing powder and then heat emboss.

▪️Once this has cooled, place your mask on top of the one you've just done (as seen 📸)

Use your Magic Anti-Static Pad again as your fingers have now been all over it.

▪️Next, stamp another Poinsettia next to it, however this should overlap onto the mask.

Repeat the process - take off the mask, add embossing powder and again heat emboss.

You now need to repeat this for the other end.

TOP TIP

Make sure your Heat Tool is hot before heating your powder, as you can easily warp your card by waiting for it to heat up. Also try not to go over the areas you've already done.

AND...Don’t forget to use your Magic Anti-Static Pad each time, otherwise you will get powder everywhere. Trust me I speak from experience lol :-)

Step 3

▪️Select your sentiment from the above stamp set and as seen in Picture 2 📸.

Stamp it out approximately 9cm down the card before heat embossing.

▪️Next take your Lumberjack Plaid Distress Ink Pad and paint the Poinsettia (as seen 📸) dabbing with kitchen roll as you go along.

You can of course leave them as they are but I liked that they stand out more like this ....

Step 4

Take a length of this beautiful gold ribbon (available in 8 colours)

Wrap and secure around the card as seen, before sticking this piece on top of the gold already on a card blank.

To finish.... adhere a bow which I usually do with a Hot Glue Gun as I’m far too impatient lol :-)

Go on and give it a go... we'd love you to share with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Have a great crafting week

Lynn x
