Hello All.....
Todays' card is one of those which looks sophisticated and beautiful, yet is really easy to achieve...
using a these two favourites of mine!!
I wanted to show you that you don’t have to just use the stamped image as it is........
An another example shown by my fellow DT Ian, is the gorgeous triptych rose card which he posted on our Facebook Group this week. Just shows you not to be afraid of trying out new ideas :-)
So let’s get started......
Step 1
Stamp out the Floral Melody Stamp on some Pebble Grey Elite Card using Jamie Rodgers Crafts Quick Dry Pigment Ink - Black Panther Ink Pad
📝 NOTE - You will need to stamp it out twice by matching it up.
Next take the 8 plain segment dies from the Kaleidoscope Segment Die Set and stick them onto your magnetic board of your die cutting machine (as shown in Picture 1 above 📸) and cut the segments out of the stamped piece.
📝 NOTE - Don’t throw away the piece you have left, as you will need it for the centre.
Step 2
Colour in the segments using your preferred medium - here I've used some of my colouring pencils.
Now cut out the scalloped edge circle from the Kaleidoscope Segments Set in Seashell Blue Elite Card and then place the Kaleidoscope Stencil on as Jamie has shown in his demos.
Stick on your segments using Foam Pads (as seen on Picture 2 📸 below) and set aside.
Step 3
Now using Rose Petal Pink Elite Card, cut out a scalloped edge pierced square
📝 NOTE - It should measure 7¾ x 7¾ inches
Stick this onto the 8x8 Pebble Grey Card Blank.
Next cut out the floral corners from this die set in (again in Pebble Grey) and stick them onto
Seashell Blue Card before trimming around.
Now adhere these onto the card (as seen in Picture 3 📸 below).
Step 4
Using the centre piece that was left when we stamped the segment earlier...
cut out and trim it down, before then matching it up and gluing it into the middle
(as seen in Picture 4 📸 )
You might need to zoom in here to see what I mean :-)
To finish.....
Cut out a sentiment in the three card colours used (as seen in Picture 4 📸 )
I chose the "Thinking Of You" sentiment background and the "Happy Birthday" sentiment for the words.
I love how all of Jamie's Collections are interchangeable, meaning you can pretty much use them every time you craft and for every occasion.... or like me, because you just LOVE creating !!!!
And that’s a wrap folks.....
I'd love to see what you create and your ideas, so share with me on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.
Until next time, take care
