Design Team ~ Jamie Rodgers Crafts Kaleidoscope Die Set ~ Stars & Stripes By Lynn Lewis | Craftmania Blog

Hello all......

Today I bring you a lovely themed card which is super easy to make!

You know when you see a new craft product that immediately inspires an idea...

When I first saw this die set, I immediately thought of 'Stars and Stripes' - so it had to be done in red white and blue.

Now I know it’s not a perfect old Glory blue, however the night sky Navy did the perfect job lol!!

A few Card Ideas / Occasions......

What a fantastic card this would make for 4th of July holiday (Independence Day) or Thanksgiving (28th November 2024)

Change the sentiment or leave the flowers off you can make it your choice.....

Step 1

▪️Take your Kaleidoscope Segments Die Set

▪️Cut out four star segments in Night Sky Navy Elite Card and four stripe segments in

▪️Back them all with plain Polar White segments

▪️Cut out a circle using silver mirror card.

TOP TIP - Get the perfect results every time and take the fuss out of measuring...

Use the Kaleidoscope Stencil to correctly position and stick all of your segments in place (as seen in Picture 1 📸 )

Forgive me .... I haven’t taken pictures of all the segments because I got into the creative flow and forgot to take more lol

Step 2

▪️Cut out the Cosmos Flowers and make them up (as seen in Picture 1 📸 ) using the same colours of Elite Card above.

▪️Plus cut out some foliage in silver mirror card with the Cosmos Leaves

▪️Next, using Gladiator Red Card, cut out a Scallop Edge Square (without the pierced line) measuring 16½ cm x 16½ cm.

▪️Now cut a  Night Sky Navy square with the pierced line added 17.4 cm x 17.4 cm

▪️Stick these onto an 8x8" white blank card (as seen in Picture 1 📸 ).

Step 3

▪️Stick foam pads (or roll) onto the bottom of the circle....

📝 NOTE - I do have a tendancy to go a bit overboard sometimes lol, so do it how you wish, and then as seen in Picture 2 📸, place the circle on the card.

▪️Now stick your Cosmos Flowers onto the card with the silver foliage (as seen in picture 2 📸 ).

To finish...

▪️I made up the Happy Birthday sentiment by layering up Polar White Card and the words cut from  Night Sky Navy, then stuck this on pads.

▪️I added some white pearls in the flowers and some of the white stars in the corners of the red scalloped layer as seen.

I hope you like this card as much as I do....

There are just some cards that you really love making, and this for me was one of those.

As I mentioned at the start, it's very easy to make whether you are a beginner or an experienced crafter, so give it a try!

I'd love to see what colours / occasions you could make it for, so share with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Happy crafting and take care,

Lynn x
