Hello Crafters.....

I just love using the colour yellow... it always reminds me of sunshine :-)

Let’s hope we get some more sun than we have of late!!

Today's card comes from Jamie Rodgers' newly launched Essential Die Collection, which is absolutely wonderful to work with... so let’s begin.

Step 1

As in Photo One 📸 - cut out the elements you can see in these three cardstock shades :-

▪️Sunbeam Yellow

▪️Bumblebee Yellow

▪️White Pearl

You should have the following :-

▪️Sentiment Collection - Happy Birthday Circle

▪️Borders & Corners Collection - Butterfly Corners

▪️Florist Collection - Forget Me Not Flowers

📝 NOTE - There is one set of each of the 2 yellows flowers, and 2 of white pearl

Now stick the circular sentiment together in its' layers and the corner pieces (as seen 📸).

Make up your flowers; remember they don’t have to be in the same order as mine, you may prefer a more plain flower whereas mine are a bit of anything goes :-)

My butterfly has three layers to it, and the bottom two bodies were removed, so it’s stuck by the edge of the wings.

The leaves were cut using white pearl card which I then coloured with a 'grass green' alcohol marker pen.

Step 2

Cut a 7x7 card to 6¾ inch square

Then mat it with a piece of Bumblebee Yellow Card.

TOP TIP

In Picture 2, you can see here I am using a ruler with a centre line to do this on all sides, making a small pencil mark. Use a soft lead pencil which will be easy to erase afterwards.

Once you've done this, repeat on the circle sentiment as well - this will help you get it in the centre.

Stick this on with pads and then erase the pencil marks.

Now adhere your corner pieces making sure that they are even.

Stick on the flowers (as seen 📸). You will notice that the leaves are cut shorter, and I used the other bits tucked in elsewhere.

Lastly glue the butterfly onto the circle edge and place some while pearls in the flower centres and one for the butterflies head.

This card would look fabulous in all sorts of colour combinations, but for now I need the sunshine ;))

Don't forget, I'd love to see your ideas so be sure to share with us on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers.

Until next time

Take care

Lynn x
