Hello crafters!

This weeks card is a nice easy one using the lovely Foxglove garden stamp and the double pierced oval die set as a stencil.

Step 1:

Take a piece of scrap card and cut an oval using the noble double pierced die set - I used the third one down in size.

Now take another piece of white card and tape the oval aperture piece to it with some low tack tape and use it as a stencil.

Step 2:

Using the distress ink scattered straw and a large blending brush pick up some ink and gently brush round in a circle where you want the sun to be in the oval - I alway brush some off on a scrap piece first so it’s not too intense.

Now take distress ink stormy sky and go round the inner edge of the oval more so on one side than the other and don’t go too close to the sun you sort of want a halo around it like a fried egg.

I did flick some water on when I'd finished inking and then blotted with a piece of kitchen roll.

Step 3:

At this point you can either stamp your Foxglove Garden stamp while it’s taped on the card as you can see in picture 2 so it’s inside the oval or you can take the oval stencil off and stamp it so it’s outside the oval.

I have done both but put together the latter as you can see.

I will do the other one another time.

Either way place your stamp where you want it on your platform and stamp out with Versafine Clair Fallen Leaves.

Step 4:

Trim round the piece you’ve just made to 5 & 5/8 x 6 & 3/4 inches and then rub the Stormy Sky ink pad round the card edges.

Then cut out a piece of pale blue card 6 & 1/4 x 7 inches to mat behind it on to an 8 x 8 card blank that’s been cut down to 7 X 7 & 3/4 inches.

To finish I used one of the sentiment banners from the Fairy wishes collection and a stamp from Jamies Moments in Time clear stamp set.

I coloured the stamp banner with Scattered Straw and stamped directly onto it with Fallen Leaves ink .

So a nice short easy one this week but sometimes they're the nicest!

Have a great week!

Take care,

Lynn x
