Hi Crafters,
Every last Thursday of the month I get together with my friends to have a craft day and last month Wendy brought another card fold with her to try so I am sharing the instructions to this Third Fold card with you today.
I have opted to do a Christmas card today but it will look fabulous with other papers too .
Step 1:
You need a piece of card 8-1/4 x 8-1/4 inches square.
Then score a vertical line at 2-3/4 inches from the top left corner.
Next score a horizontal line 2-3/4 inches down from the top left corner.
Now mark with a pencil 5-1/2 inches along the top from the top left corner and 5-1/2 inches down from the top left corner then score between the two pencil marks.
It should intersect where the two 2-3/4 lines cross.
Now burnish the folds along the vertical and horizontal lines inwards and the one that goes across then backward then valley fold the two lines and mountain fold the other.
Please see picture above to give you a rough idea of what it should look like in picture 1.
Erase the pencil marks when done .
Step 2:
Decorate the card
Cut the card insert 5-1/4 x5-1/4 inch
Top left panel 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 inches
Top right panel and bottom left 2-1/2 x2-1/2 inches
Then to mat onto these two 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 inches
I chose the Naughty or Nice pads as you can see in picture 2 and my selected layers .
Step 3:
As you can see in picture 3, I have stuck all my layers on and chosen some of the decoupage images from the Naughty or Nice Decoupage pad.
I’ve been using this a lot lately, I love how handy these images are and how they match with the papers.
Step 4:
In picture 4 I have matted a plain white piece of card as the insert so it can be written on if wanted and as you can see it all folds flat to post.
Such a lovely, easy card to make and quite effective and is only a 5-1/2 inch square finished size.
