Welcome to my first December Blog Crafters.....
Wow... what a fantastic Bundle December's is - definitely saved the best till last!!
I thought I would go with a 'male style' card this week and after making it I could only see the sweet a chocolate lime lol.
Remember, you can find Shopping List for the products used in my project, at the end of my Blog.
To begin with, take an 8x8 White Card Blank and choose an insert paper from Phill Martin's Chalkboard Insert Paper Pad. Here I am using polka dots which are very universal.
There was no need to trim this down as it fits perfectly, with a nice little border.
I have used Double Sided Tape to stick it securely onto my card base.
Next, I cut two of the Elegant Lace Borders from Sue Wilson's Elegant Lace Edge And Border Die Set in Foundations Coconut White Card. Using a blending brush and Make Art Ink Pad in Fern Green,
I coloured them both. Once this was done, I set these aside for later.
Now, using another piece of coconut card, I cut two of the Creative Expressions Gillian Frames and then coloured them with Distress Oxide Ink - Iced Spruce using one of my Blending Brushes.
Cut one base and two centre circles in white, and then colour all three with your Fern Green Ink Pad. In one circle only, cut the filigree pattern and glue this onto one frame. Then glue the plain one to the other frame. Now stick the base to the frame with the filigree centre.
For the next step, take a Blending Brush and carefully colour the centre circle on the card base with the your Distress Oxide Iced Spruce Ink Pad.
Using some foam pads, stick the filigree frame onto the centre circle on the card base.
With the other frame in hand, cut this in half and remove (carefully so not to tear it).
Glue one half to the left and the other to the right side of the central frame.
Moving on to our laced borders....
Glue the laced borders we set aside earlier to the the top and bottom of the central frame. (See photo for reference).
Now we need a sentiment, so I've used Creative Expressions Mini Shadowed Sentiment Die -
Happy Birthday. For this, I've coloured a piece of white card, again using my Iced Spruce Ink Pad, and then cut out the outline die cuts. The words were cut out in silver mirror card and then I glued together both parts and adhered to the front of your card using foam pads.
And that's your card is complete!
I hope you've enjoyed my blog this week; I would love to hear what you think in the comments and I'm more than happy to answer any questions you have....
We'd love to see what you are all creating with your Bundles, so please share with us on our
Best wishes, Ian x
