Jamie Rodgers In and Out Die Collection - Well Done! By Ian Rump-Smith | Craftmania Blog

Hello all....

I'm quite excited about this.... bringing back one of Jamie Rodgers original Collections called the

'In And Out Die Collection.' If you've been tempted, but not dipped your foot in (so to speak), let me show you how I created my card, using these magical dies....

✅Also check out Jamie Rodgers YouTube Channel ~ there's a designated Playlist especially for this Collection. Find a host of tutorials and ideas. Click the link below.

Step 1

I started with a C5 card base, laying the star dies on the right hand side and used low tack tape (such as Washi Tape or Woodware's Stencil Tape) to secure.

I ran it through my die cutting machine, and then used a ruler to cut off the excess to make the star shape.

Step 2

I took the solid stars again just to cut out additional ones, so I had 2 of each.

I coloured all 4 of my stars, I used Mustard Seed Distress Oxide Ink and a blending brush.

I closed the card and then put some glue on the back of 2 stars.

I then popped them back into the place they came out of, sticking them onto the inside of the card.

Step 3

Next I used some Creative Expressions Double Sided Self Adhesive Sheets and cut some different thicknesses (see photo below📸).

I added them to the left side of the card.

After removing the top layer, I used a foil gold sheet and applied to the strips.

Any gold paper / card / foil will work well!

I did one more of these for the finishing touch on the right inside of the card.

Step 4

The additional stars I added to the front using foams pads.

For my sentiment, I chose Sue Wilson's "Congratulations" Mini Expression die in a matt finish gold card and glued it to the large star!

Now.... I admit lol, I still use Peel Off's after all these years...

I pulled out my stars and finished off the card :-)

There you go... a nice super simple, and expensive looking card to wow your friends :-)

Hope it was easy to follow and gives you some inspiration.

Thanks for joining me and stayed tuned this week, as we have more tutorial blogs coming your way!

Enjoy your week
