Wings Of Wonder Collection - Butterfly Sorbet By Ian Rump-Smith

Wings of Wonder Collection - Butterfly Sorbet By Ian Rump-Smith | Craftmania

Well what can we say to another FANTASTIC Collection with the second release of Jamie Rodgers' Wings of Wonder Die Collection!!

This card reminds me of rhubarb and custard, but also nice sorbet colours so I thought the latter suited better.

As always the Shopping list is at the end of this blog

▪️I started with an 8"x8"card base and then

mattered and layered with a lilac

card and also a sheet from Jamie's Vintage Soft Textures Paper Pad.

▪️I used Sue Wilson's Noble Stitched Square Die Set and used the largest two dies.

▪️After glueing to the card front, I then worked on the centre.

▪️For this I used Creative Expressions Coconut White Card (however, we will be colouring it with Colour Cloud Blending Ink, as I wanted the colours to match with my blended flowers and embellishments.

▪️Using the WOW Moroccan Scalloped Lattice from the first Collection, cut a base twice and then run one through again with the lattice die.

▪️To colour the lattice, I used Colour Cloud Soft Cerise and for the base I used Decadent Teal. Use a Blending Smoothie Sponge to colour them.

▪️If you have not yet tried Colour Cloud Blending Inks, they are AMAZING and so many colours to choose from. The smoothness of the results is so good...

▪️Next glue the 2 parts together and then glue to the centre of your card.

▪️Using your Coconut White Card again, cut out 2 of the Butterfly Swirl Corners, 2 of the solid butterfly, and then just 2 of the butterflies from the corner.

▪️Using your Colour Clouds Inks, colour with your Smoothies:-

Corners - Decadent Grape

Extra Butterflies - Decadent Wine

Butterfly solid - Decadent Teal

▪️Glue the solid butterfly to the back of the corner, and then glue the extra butterfly by putting glue onto the body so it gives a 3D effect. Add these to the corner of the frame with glue.

▪️Next I made the flowers from using the Cherry Blosson die set from Wings Of Wonder Collection - Volume 1. Again cut from white card and 4 each of the smallest flower. Colour with Colour Cloud - larger flower with Lemon Meringue and the tips with Decadent Grape and smaller with Soft Cerise.

▪️I used a Woodware Shaping Pal moulding mat and Embossing Tool Set to give the flowers dimension before glueing them together.

▪️Add these to the card using my main photo as a guide.

Use pearls for the centre of the flowers.

▪️For the sentiment I used Creative Expressions Sending Love & Hugs die, and cut this 5 times in white and glued each layer together to give it a nice solid look.

▪️Glue this to the centre of the card.

🔵The next part is optional.

Here I used the Butterfly Confetti dies to cut the tiny butterflies.

▪️I coloured 4 of the smallest using Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud Lemon Meringue and added these to the corners.

▪️I then added the largest butterfly (left white) to the sentiment.

This completes my card; I hope you have enjoyed making this and would love to see your take on this creation on our Facebook Group - Create With Craftmania And Jamie Rodgers
