Today I am back playing with both of Creative Expressions Wings Of Wonder Collections By Jamie Rodgers! If you have already got these dies in hand, hopefully our Blogs will give you some ideas... if these are new to you, then I cannot promise you won't be tempted lol!!
The shopping list for items used will be at the end of my blog
Let's get started!
▪️The base card is an 8x8 white card blank - I love working with this size as it gives you more space to work with :-)
▪️I used Sue Wilson's Noble Stitched Square Die set; I cut one in matt black card and another with the next size down die in Foundations Coconut White Card.
▪️Before sticking down to the base, I used a Creative Expressions Blending Smoothie along with Cosmic Shimmer Colour Cloud Ink in Decadent Wine to cover the white square.
This is such a beautiful colour, and the Colour Cloud Inks are amazing to work with and perfect for backgrounds.
Now glue both to your base using Ultra Sticky Double Sided Tape.
Now let's do a lot of die cutting...
I have listed the die set, and card quantity used to make it easier for you.
See my pictures for reference of dies used.
Wings Of Wonder Collection - Swirl Corner Duo
2 in Gold Mirri Heart Corner
Wings Of Wonder Collection Cherry Blossom
4 of each flower in Gold Mirri
5 of each flower (except large one) in Matt Black
2 straight leaves in Gold Mirri
1 each of curved leaves in Gold Mirri
Wings Of Wonder Collection Butterfly Confetti and Butterfly Trellis
Various sizes in Gold Mirri Card
Assembling
Before gluing the flowers together, use a forming mat to mould the flowers like in the photo. Afterwards, glue them together in size layers.
▪️Now using the main photo as a guide, start gluing the die cuts to the front of the card.
I used a strong white glue, or Cosmic Shimmer Dries Clear Glue is highly recommended!
▪️To complete your card, add a sentiment of your choice. I used Sue Wilson's Mini Expressions Die 'You Make Me Happy' cut it in coconut white card.
Using Woodware's Ultra Fine Tip Glue Bottle, lightly glue and add to the front of your card.
